Sitting less than 10 miles east of Port Antonio’s town center, Boston Beach is known for its clear waters’ surfer-friendly waves and the shore’s soft, powder-white sands. But even more prominently, Boston Beach is renowned for its delicious, authentically Jamaican eats. This beach claims to be the birthplace of jerk seasoning, so come hungry and ready to taste-test at the nearby Boston Jerk Center, which features jerk foods. You might even enjoy some live music while sampling the flavors.

This stunning white-sand stretch, just a five-minute drive east of Port Antonio, is the only beach in Jamaica with waves high enough to surf. Boston Bay is also one of the few remaining public strands on the island. It continues to attract more locals than tourists and as such is nearly vendor-free.
